Stay in control
- Set a budget before you play and treat it as the cost of entertainment — money you are comfortable losing.
- Use deposit, loss and session limits. Every reputable casino lets you set these in your account settings. Set them before you start, not after.
- Never chase losses. Trying to win back money you’ve lost is the fastest way to lose more.
- Don’t gamble to escape stress, boredom or low mood, and never gamble with money meant for bills, rent or essentials.
- Take regular breaks and keep gambling as one of many activities, not the main one.
Warning signs
It may be time to seek help if you are spending more than you can afford, borrowing money to gamble, hiding your gambling from others, feeling anxious or guilty about it, or finding it hard to stop. These are common signs and support is available without judgement.
Tools that can help
- Deposit & loss limits — cap how much you can put in or lose over a day, week or month.
- Reality checks & session timers — reminders of how long you have been playing.
- Time-outs — short cool-off periods that lock you out for a set time.
- Self-exclusion — longer-term exclusion from a casino. Australians can also self-exclude across many services via BetStop, the National Self-Exclusion Register.
Australian support services

- Gambler’s Help (VIC) and state-based services are available Australia-wide.
Under 18s
Gambling is strictly for adults aged 18 and over. We support tools such as GAMBLOCK® and other filtering software that help keep gambling content away from minors.
18+ only. If it’s no longer fun, walk away — and reach out for support.
